STRETTA is an outpatient procedure that uses radiofrequency to promote growth of the muscle responsible for stopping reflux. The procedure takes about an hour and patients return to normal eating immediately.

Endoscopic valve
The Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (TIF) is an endoscopic procedure that reconstructs the valve responsible for reflux. Patients may stay overnight in the hospital and can resume normal activities the next day. However, patients must follow a special diet for approximately a month after surgery.

LINX is a sophisticated approach to augment the strength of the lower esophageal sphincter with a device placed around to lower esophagus. This minimally invasive surgery takes about an hour with patients resuming normal eating immediately. Patients generally stay overnight in the hospital and can resume normal activities the next day. Patients can also have hiatal hernias repaired during this operation.

In the Nissen Fundoplication surgery, the top portion of the stomach is wrapped around the esophagus to create a stronger valve to minimize reflux. However, patients must follow a special diet for approximately a month after surgery.
